Been training and prepping for the upcoming Pitt to DC Meso Challenge. This special solo event will raise awareness for mesothelioma research and the ban on asbestos. I will set out from Pittsburgh PA on August 25th and follow both the Allegany and C&O towpaths. This route will be well suited to my modified single-speed, fixed gear "saddle-less" touring bike. I plan to arrive in DC on or around August 30th, assuming no mechanical problems arise. I will be using a SPOT Satellite Messenger to track my progress and will post regular updates on Facebook.
