Rumor has it, I'll be riding a fixed gear, standing, later this season. The bike is 98% set up and I've begun my
training. Fixed gear is new for me, sitting as well as standing. This is my first experience without the ability to coast.
The standing up part gets tricky. Once in a while you zone out and forget you can't just stop pedaling. The bike will bite
back...hard. I almost bucked off several times already and still can't quite get the hang of it. These 41 year old legs
are holding up...so far, but I haven't yet put in any long training days. Will keep everyone posted. In the meantime, please
check out our new
SU2C Team. Join up and donate if you can. All the best, Frank A. Cavaluzzi, Standing Cyclist.
